After graduating
from Northwestern University with a degree in English literature, Dr.
Huszagh practiced her craft as editor at the American Bar Association in
Chicago, Illinois. She attended graduate school at the American
University School of International Service in Washington, D.C.
Balancing an
active home-life with her husband and three sons, she achieved both
Masters and Ph.D. degrees through years of night school. While at the
American University she was elected to national honorary societies in
political science and liberal arts. When her husband, Dr. Rick Huszagh
was drafted to head the Dean Rusk Center of International Law at the
University of Georgia’s School of Law, she joined the faculty of the
Terry College of Business. As the first woman in the marketing
department, she attained tenure and national recognition as author of
journal articles focused on international marketing strategies.
After twenty-one
years at the Terry College, her keen interest in the family enterprise
led to an exit from academia. There she guided public relations efforts
that contributed in part to the enterprise’s national recognition.
Dabbling in poetry in the past, she is now actively engaged in
co-authoring The Danburg Diary as E.M. Hamilton with T.A. Powell.
